New ICG article published in iScience on the muscle glycome in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies

Exciting news! Our recent study of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM), a group of chronic autoimmune diseases affecting muscles, has been published in iScience. We found a crucial deficiency in the glycosylation pathway, which is linked to disease relapse and treatment resistance. Restoring the normal glycosylation profile led to decreased IL-6 levels, offering a potential target for new therapies. These results open up promising possibilities for personalized follow-up and improved treatments for IIM patients.
