GlycanSwitch Consortium Gathers in Porto for Progress Meeting!

Our team at i3s had the pleasure of hosting a progress meeting for the GlycanSwitch ERC project from February 29th to March 1st. With a focus on understanding the role of IgG glycans in inflammatory diseases, the gathering brought together several researchers from across Europe, including colleagues from Leiden University Medical Centre, The Netherlands and Genos from Croatia. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the productive discussions and knowledge exchange among consortium members including students. Additionally, the consortium had the opportunity to engage with i3s Director Claudio Sunkel and explore the state-of-the-art facilities at i3S. 

Looking ahead, we’re excited about the prospect of more productive meetings in the future, where collaboration thrives and new ideas fuel our quest in unraveling the complexities of glycans and their impact on inflammatory/autoimmune diseases.
