PhD student, Beatriz Santos-Pereira, has been awarded the EFIS-Immunology Letters Short-term Fellowship. Beginning in September 2024, she will undertake a three-month research internship at Leiden University Medical Center, supervised by Professors Manfred Wurher and Paul Hensbergen.

Inês Alves, a researcher in Pinho's Lab, won the Best Paper Award 2023 from the Sociedade Portuguesa de Imunologia (SPI) for her paper titled "Host-derived mannose glycans trigger a pathogenic γδ T cell/IL-17a axis in autoimmunity" published in Science Translational Medicine.

Ângela Fernandes, a postdoctoral researcher at Pinho's Lab, has been awarded the Bolsa Pereira Monteiro de Apoio à Investigação Translacional em Neurologia 2023 by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Neurologia.
