Beatriz Santos-Pereira secures Fellowship by the European Federation of Immunology Societies

PhD student, Beatriz Santos-Pereira, has been awarded the EFIS-Immunology Letters Short-term Fellowship. Beginning in September 2024, she will undertake a three-month research internship at Leiden University Medical Center, supervised by Professors Manfred Wurher and Paul Hensbergen.

Her project aims to use advanced mass spectrometry technology to identify protein and glycan alterations in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, with the goal of discovering new biomarkers to improve clinical and therapeutic monitoring.
