ICG was awarded a €6,000 research grant by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Endoscopia Digestiva

We are delighted to announce that an ICG research team, comprised of Ricardo Marcos-Pinto, Ângela Fernandes, Catarina Azevedo, and Salomé Pinho, has been awarded a prestigious “Research Grant” of €6,000 by the Portuguese Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SPED). This award, spanning over three years, marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to advance the field of colorectal cancer prevention.

The awarded project will enable us to delve deeper into the study of T lymphocyte glycosylation, investigating it as a novel biomarker to enhance endoscopic screening for the prevention of colorectal cancer. This critical research aims to improve early detection methods and ultimately make a positive impact on patients’ lives.
