Pedro Almeida Receives a Fellowship Grant by the European Federation of Immunology Societies 

Pedro Almeida, a research technician in the group has been awarded an Immunology Letters Short-term Fellowship by the European Federation of Immunology Societies.

This grant allows him to undertake a three-month internship at the University Medical Center in Leiden, Netherlands, focusing on glycan changes within inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). His internship is part of the GlycanTrigger project led by i3S researcher Salomé Pinho, aiming to characterize glycans on the intestinal mucosa in IBD.

Pedro’s goal during his stay in Leiden is to master the Imaging Mass Cytometry technique for analyzing glycans and immune populations in IBD samples.
